Winter Weather

Using our iPads to record weather words.

We read the story, The Jacket I Wear in the Snow.

The children drew portraits and labeled winter clothing items.

The students are learning to measure using non-standard units.

They worked with partners to measure their shoes using cubes.

We left water outside and found it had frozen overnight.

We are learning about winter weather and how it effects

the behaviors of humans and animals. 

The children worked in cooperative groups to create this

 bulletin board display.  We followed the text of the story,

The First Day of Winter to build a snowman.  This counting

book teaches ordinal numbers, descriptive words and sequencing.
