During Skills Block, students work in
literacy stations. We read poems to practice
print concepts, rhyme, and sight words.
Students practice listening for sounds in words.
The children used their imaginations
to create a toy from craft materials.
The boys play a sight word game.
Students interviewed a partner about their preferred
classroom toy and recorded on a note catcher.
The girls work to sort letters.
Students have been learning about the roles
of authors and illustrators. We read the book,
Corduroy and students created character puppets.
Practicing proper formation of
upper and lowercase letters. We
begin all letters from the top.
