Winter Fun

In Science we learned how Woodland
Animals adapt during Winter weather.

 Growling Brown Bears

It takes teamwork to build a tall tower!

We read a Ukrainian folk tale, The Mitten by Jan Brett.

The children used the characters from
the tale to retell the story in order.

The children use non-standard units to measure length.

 Exploring Geometric Shapes

We are learning about States of Matter in Science.

We put water outside overnight and observed
how liquid changed into a solid.

One of our literacy goals to to identify story
elements.  We completed a Story Map with characters,
setting, and events from the book, Whistle for Willie.

The children enjoyed learning all about Polar Animals.

We learned how to make pinecone bird feeders.

Vocabulary Parade

We chose the word "camouflage " for the
polar bear and penguin costumes.
