Exploring Hawaii

Pineville is having our annual
International Day on Thursday,
April 2nd.  Each grade level has
been assigned a different continent.
Each class is responsible for a
different country.  Our class is
doing the USA, with an emphasis
on Hawaii because…well, it's just
fun!  All this month we've been
learning facts about beautiful
Hawaii.  We are focusing on
landforms, map skills, animals,
and agricultural products.
Students are also learning about
Hawaiian culture and island
artifacts.

Amberlyn is doing serious work on this volcano.

The children discovered that the Hawaiian
Islands were created by volcanos.

The children researched Hawaiian animals using Google images.
