It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas...

In Writing we are learning how to write pattern books.

December 12th commemorates the poinsettia which is
indigenous to Mexico and Central America.  This date
has been officially designated as National Poinsettia Day.

We are learning how other countries celebrate.  In
Sweden, Christmas begins with the Saint Lucia ceremony.
The youngest daughter from each family wears a crown of
evergreens with tall lighted candles.  She wakes her parents
on December 13 and serves them with coffee and Lucia buns.

Christmas cheer!
