The Food Lion grocers led the children
on a tour of the store. They spoke to
them about choosing nutritional foods
from each of the 5 major food groups.

they provide different services in their garage
to consumers in our community.

kept us safe as we crossed over Polk street.

Lawson uses pattern block shapes to
build hexagons and to create a design.
In technology class the children learned how to
scan QR (quick response) codes with iPads.
They scanned the codes to pull up sight words.
As a part of our unit on nutrition, the boys and girls
created a plate with healthy choices from the food groups.
