This week the children learned about the Arctic
and Antarctic. We learned about the extreme cold
of the poles and about the animals that live in there.
Polar Bears can only be found in the Arctic
(North Pole). The Polar Bear also happens to
be the mascot of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

We copied a science lab from Sid the Science Kid.
We froze fruit cocktail in ice and decided how to
get the fruit out. The lesson was on changing states
of matter and reversible change.
Reese is telling Mr. Doerer about the Polar Bear hats we
made in class during the Accelerated Reader assembly.
