Early Birds

Four of the chicks had hatched out when we arrived at school this morning.

Two more came later in the morning. We waited for the chicks to dry
and fluff up before moving them into the Chick Motel.

The Chick Motel will serve as our brooder. A lamp with a blue light

will keep the chicks warm.

The chicks will not have to be fed for a few days. They still have

yolk in their stomachs.
